ABOUT THE MONTJUÏC TOUR

This isn’t just a ride up a hill. This is a journey through layers of Barcelona most people never even notice, or have the ganas to climb!

At UnCommon Tourist, we power deep into the story. And with our e-bikes doing the heavy lifting, you get to focus on the story, the scenery, and (typically) the sunshine!

We start in downtown Barcelona, then glide quickly upward into something quieter - pine trees, open sky, hidden (in plain sight) history. The echoes of workers, industries, and movements that helped shape the city long before it became what you see today.

Then, we really open things up!

Wide avenues. Olympic structures. Big, bold reinvention. The spirit of 1992 - when Barcelona stepped onto the global stage and rewrote its identity. But just when you think you’ve got Montjuïc figured out, it shifts again.

This time into the legacy of communities long gone but not forgotten. And the weight of conflict - stories from the Spanish Civil War that still linger in the stones beneath your wheels.

This is a burst of bright skies and fresh air that is hard to capture in a city; we make it effortless for you. So, you won’t just see Montjuïc on this 3.5 hour tour. You’ll feel the on-going evolution of it. And the view points? Oh baby!

Fun Fact: What's in name?

Montjuïc literally means “Mountain of the Jews” A name rooted in medieval Catalan, inspired by the Jewish community that once lived in Barcelona and the cemetery that still rests on the hill.
