With her native Scotland deep in her soul, Angie has been lucky enough to call many cities and countries, part of her home.

She loves how travel, music, movement, food, and engaged conversation can create lasting impressions on the way we feel, think, and move through this life!

With a diverse range of interests in all things creative, expressive and story-building, Angie co-created UnCommon Tourist to share her perspectives of Barcelona from a thoughtful and curious space, helping to create an experience that becomes part of YOUR home.

Born in Irving, Texas, but raised by Austin’s entrepreneurial energy, Álvaro thrives in building ideas from the ground up and connecting with people from every background.

What began as a relocation in 2012 became a personal transformation as he fell in love with Barcelona’s rhythm, history, neighborhood intimacy, and fierce cultural identity.

He has transformed into a true Culé (Barcelona-phile!) and invites you to become one too!

A passionate teacher of history, and a warm, engaging storyteller, Álvaro co‑founded UnCommon Tourist to help YOU experience Barcelona with depth and rich color - and where possible - a great coffee too!
